Trezor Suite App — Centralized Secure Wallet Management

A concise, practical guide to installing, configuring, and using Trezor Suite to manage your hardware wallet and cryptocurrency securely.

What is Trezor Suite?

Trezor Suite is the official desktop (and web) application for managing Trezor hardware wallets. It provides a unified interface for device setup, account management, transaction signing, portfolio overview, firmware updates, and integrations with supported coins and services.

Before you begin

Step 1 — Download and install Trezor Suite

Download Trezor Suite from the official Trezor website and install the correct package for your operating system. Follow the standard installation procedure for your platform.

Security tip: Always download software from the official source and verify digital signatures when provided. Avoid third-party copies distributed via forums or email links.

Step 2 — Initialize or restore your device

On first connection, Trezor Suite will guide you through setting up a new device or restoring an existing one.

  1. Connect your Trezor to the computer via USB and unlock it.
  2. Choose Create new to initialize a new device or Recover wallet to restore from your seed.
  3. If creating new, record the recovery seed shown on the device exactly as instructed. Store it offline and secure.
  4. Set a device PIN to protect local access to the Trezor hardware.

Trezor displays the recovery seed on-device to prevent exposure through the computer — only trust the words shown on the device's screen.

Step 3 — Add accounts and sync

With your device initialized, add cryptocurrency accounts within Trezor Suite to view balances and prepare transactions.

  1. Open Accounts and click Add account.
  2. Select the currency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) and follow the prompts. Trezor Suite may request you confirm actions on the device.
  3. Wait for the Suite to synchronize account balances and transaction history from the network.

Sending and receiving funds

Transactions created in Trezor Suite must be verified and signed on your hardware device. This ensures private keys never leave the device.

  1. To receive, open an account and click Receive. Verify the address shown in Trezor Suite on your device screen before sharing it.
  2. To send, click Send, enter the recipient address and amount, then confirm and sign the transaction on the Trezor device.

Always cross-check addresses on the device display — the hardware screen is the final authority against malware or clipboard hijacking on your computer.
